This photo of Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask came as a bit of a surprise. The image was taken with a remote camera that I set up in the low boards behind the net. This type of remote is fairly common with NHL games, but the sunlight helped make this image unique. The tricky part was finding the right exposure that worked shooting into the sun, and yet was still usable when the sun went down. Fortunately for me, the sun and the goaltender lined up just perfectly for a brief period of time. As this happened it appears some ice was clouded up into the air which created a beautiful glow around Rask. The sequence itself was about six images, but only this one lined up just right. Although it is very static, it has very different quality to it.

He could be back as soon as Tuesday, giving him ample time to prepare for the start of the regular season, even after missing the start of camp.
There's still some risk he has to move off third base, though playing there is going well so far, and his contact issues in Class Al (hitting .241 in low-A and .256 in high-A) don't give him a ton of margin for error going forward if that's about what he'll be doing in the big leagues.St. Louis Cardinals face coverings
