Anthony Albanese wins as new Aussie prime minister
Anthony Albanese has wonSLOTXOthe Australian election. and became the first Prime Minister from the Labor Party in nearly a decade. Overthrow a coalition government led by former Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Mr Albanese told a group of ecstatic advocates: The Australian people voted for change and that he would create unity among the people. and invest in social services including ending the war on climate change.

Mr Morrison expressed his gratitude for the miracle of the Australian people. while admitting his own defeat


However, it remains unclear whether the Labor Party is able to hold the majority. Of the 151 seats in the lower house of parliament, Labor has won 72, while Morrison's National Liberal Front has 55.

It remains to be seen whether the Labor Party will be able to occupy 76 seats in the lower house to give them a majority. Otherwise, support from the Green Party and independent candidates raising climate change may be needed to form the next government.
